That's the festivities done for another but there's no rest for the wicked. We must now put the finishing touches to our plans for The Berry, Walmer: Beer Festival & Real Ale Week at the end of February. The Beer Festival is always a wonderful event and this years music on the Saturday will be provided by "The Old Lone... Gin Band" and "David Gibb ". Make sure you at least keep the weekend of Feb 25th & 26th free so you can join in the fun

Monday 3rd January 2011

So it's goodbye to 2010 and what a year it's been. CAMRA Branch Pub of the Year for the third year running, final 4 in the CAMRA National Cider Pub of the Year, getting married to my wonderful wife and the birth of my gorgeous little boy. Thanks to you all for your support and I hope you all have a lovely 2011

Wednesday 29th December:

Great News. "BBC Radio 2 Young Folk Artist of the Year" finalist David Gibb will be providing us with our Saturday night entertainment for the Beer Festival. The Old Lone Gin Band will be the afternoon entertainment

Monday 15th November:

Well the Harvey's Old didn't last long this weekend. Both firkins drunk dry by 5:15pm Saturday evening. That's 144 pints of Old drunk in less than 19 opening hours. Impressive stuff. If you didn't get the chance to try it this week, there will be more on sale as of Friday.

Tuesday 9th November:

Some interesting beers arriving this week including Thornbridge Jaipur and Kipling, Gadds Dark Conspiracy and one that took us a while to track down called Sussex Smugglers from one of my favourite brewerys ever, Dark Star.

Monday 8th November:

We shall be moving up to 7 Real Ales available as of this Friday (12th Nov). The 7th pump will welcome back our winter favourite "Harvey's Old Ale" which has proven much trickier than normal to get hold of this year. However after a month and a half of phone calls, broken promises (not by us) and lots of hair tearing we finally managed to get hold of it and very much look forward to sampling a pint or 6 on Friday!
