A message from CAMRA
'We are proud to announce that our Branch Pub of the Year is The Berry, Walmer. This is the 6th year that Chris has won the award and is well deserved. The Berry will now go forward to the East Kent CAMRA Pub of the Year. Praise should also go to runners-up: Crispin Inn, Sandwich; George & Dragon, Sandwich; Just Reproach, Deal and Prince Albert, Deal.'

So Firstly I will tell you a bit about the pub and our aims...
Our pub is a traditional ale house with excellent award winning ales! Our aims are to keep the standard of real ale at the highest possible. This year we won the CAMRA Branch Pub Of The Year award for the sixth year running. This is as well as being in the good beer guide 07,08,09,10,11, 12 * 13 - which we were very pleased about and we hope to continue to provide you with an excellent pint for many years to come.
The Berry is a family run pub, the landlord is called Chris.He is a huge real ale enthusiast so if the beer isnt up to his standard he wont sell it! The landlady Harriett is responsible for the arty bits around the pub. Malcolmand Bev are Chris' mum and dad. The other staff are Helen, Dom , Ryan, Brian, Dave, Megan and Ken. Ken is our assistant manager. Our staff are great - we are very proud of them.
We are a real community pub. We collect the Sainsbury's Active Kids vouchers for our little boy's pre-school. Our Ryan is running the London Marathon this year so we are busy raising money for his charities, Alzheimer's and Macmillan Cancer Support. We have just raised £140 with our Tombola (affectionately known as the Jumbola) - all proceeds will go to Ryan's charities. The money raised each month from our quizzes goes to the youngsters at Deal Town Rangers. (£43 in March) We assist with local beer festivals at The Lifeboat, The Sailing Club and The Rugby Club.
We love our pub and hope you will too, so please pop in for a friendly welcome, a warm glowing real fire and some great beer!

Dear Customers
Due to the success of our ‘Jumbola’, (Raised £140.00 for Ryan’s charities – London Marathon) we would like to run another one with it’s launch at the CIDER FESTIVAL (10th, 11th, 12th May)
We like to support local charities and would be pleased to donate our ‘Jumbola’ monies to another good cause. We wondered if any of our customers were involved with any special fund raising for their favourite charity?
